CEL provides the notion of entities and property classes for the Crystal Space 3D engine to aid game creation. Every object in a game is represented by an entity. The entity system allows the game programmer (using CEL) to speak to game objects in a consistant manner. CEL is logically split into two major parts: a physical layer, which defines the way entities interact with the world and each other, and a behavior layer, which controls how entities behave within the constraints put forth by the physical layer. | ||||||||
